There is a lot of talk about antioxidants in relation to free radicals, cancer prevention, and anti aging. These issues are typically marketed towards older people. Do antioxidants help young people like children or teenagers? or is there no effect?

Her last visit Aug 2009 6 months ago to that doctor said you are cured no polyps this time see me in 1 year. However the doctor informed her she had a hernia in her pevlise. As she left the Dr she thought wow that’s a relief no probe for 1 year. So she went to the same doctor to have the hernia removed an EKG was done results came back only to tell her that she had a Heart Attack in the past. The doctor explained to her that she needed to have a stress test done before they could operate on the hernia Stress test was done nothing abnormal said the paper work so she made a promise to my mom that as soon as she moved she would see a new doctor. She would be moving in a few months to Utah or Sun City Ca. Well in Sept 2009 she moved to Sun City and soon realized her body did not feel right. Oct 10th She went to a different doctor UCI only to find out that polyps were there and have gotten to a size of a ball, upon further testing these polyps were cancer and have traveled through her rectum walls onto intestines and even up on her liver. UCI specialist are going to work with a doctor closer to her home to give her Chemo to shrink the mass on the liver Nov 2009. She does not like that however the only negaitive was she feels tired. In Dec she found that there is a new drug could possibly help her speed up the process to shrink the liver cancer cells but this doctor said her insurance did not cover the medicen. So 77 years old with cancer strong woman makes all of the calls herself only to find out that this new doctor did not check on this new drug that she needs & GUESS WHAT The medication is fully covered under her insurance. Jan. 2010 she quietly left this new doctor and went back to UCI in hopes to find a cure for her life illness. So now what I would like for all of you who say doctor knows best. . . You and only YOU know your body if it feels like something is wrong, Keep checking. Power of Positive thinking.
