I have a Military Fitness test in 2and a half to three weeks away. I’m about 20 pounds overweight. I need to shape up fast. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone had any tips on a diet and physical exercise routine. Thanks again.

          I really want to get fit, and I’m not a patient person. I am willing to do what it takes to get in shape, however. I don’t have a lot of excess fat to burn (but I do have a bit), however, my muscles are REALLY out of shape and I don’t know if I’ve ever been in good shape. I’d like to tone them first of all, but I’d also like to build a little muscle. Plus, I want to increase flexibility. I also want to strengthen my heart and lungs. I worry they will pose a threat to my getting fit fast because my lungs and heart seem to give out before my muscles do. I have tachycardia (fast heart rate) and slight arrythmia due partially to mitral valve prolapse, and partially due to something the doctors can’t seem to figure out, but they said I might be right in thinking my anxiety is responsible. Also, I don’t smoke, but I am around a lot of smoke and a dr. told me it was laying on my lungs. :( When I do exercise, sometimes my heart and lungs give out befor emy muscles do. Also, during aerobic exercise, they give out way too fast, I think, but I want to keep them healthy, so I want to exercise them, as well. Given this prob. that stands in my way, and the fact that my muscles are in pathetic shape, as well, but I don’t have much fat to burn, how long do you think it will take me to get in shape if I give it my all? I don’t mean in the absolute best shape, but just enough to have a decently strong heart and lungs, and pretty good (above average) muscle tone, plus add a little muscle?Do you think it’s possible to achieve in 3 months or am I expecting too much?I wanted to add that while I am not capable of pushing myself as much as some people, I am willing to try to do as much hardcore exercise as I am capable of in order to achieve my goals quickly, as long as it’s healthy, and I am capable of it. Any suggestions? Can I do it in 3 months if I try my hardest?
