        Think about the following athletes:-Soccer goalie-400 meter runner-Marathon runner1) For each of the athletes listed above complete the following:- Identify which is the major energy system used in each activity. – Discuss the major characteristics of each system (oxygen used, fuel sources used, amounts and speed of energy produced, intensity of activity, duration of exercise) and why it is suited for the activity. 2) The soccer goalie has a different role to other members of his team. Explain how in a game of soccer, different players will rely differently on the 3 energy systems. 3) Identify 4 separate periods in a soccer game that allow for full or partial replenishment of energy stores (be specific) This allows for repeated use of 2 of the energy systems. Explain which energy systems are replenished, how and what is replenished or removed for each system and how long this would take. 4) What is the best fuel source for energy production for the marathon runner and why?5) Discuss how the 3 energy systems interact with each other for energy production in the early and final stages of the marathon.
