Did ecstasy change my personality forever?
Author: victerhello, I have been abusing mdma for almost 2 years now. . . man ill never forget the first time I “rolled” i thought it was amazing. . . the best thing to ever happen to me. Before I knew it, i started going to raves all the time and abusing ecstasy all the time. . . it was the best thing ever. Well about 2 years later, I cant do it anymore, because a few months ago I started noticing that I was become a rather paranoid person. . . I stress about the dumbest stuff constantly now, i feel like I have constant anxiety, and I used to be the most laid back easy to talk to person. . . now when i talk to me I feel like people think im weird because i will just freeze up. . . its hard to describe. Its worse when i smoke marijuana. . . which is something I have had to quit now because of this reason (which is weird because I used to smoke marijuana all the time with none of these effects)Im done with mdma. . . im never going to abuse it again. Ive changed my diet and have started excersing and taking multi vitimens and becoming healthier in hopes that I will eventually come back to my normal self. I know i probably damaged my serotonin levels and such, and I am planning on getting 5-HTP to help with this, but im just wondering (anything positive would be such a relief you guys honestly) that I will eventually return to my normal self again. . . I have heard cases where people saying it will take up wards of a year for this kind of damage to be reversed and im just wondering if someone can just give me a straight answer. Thanks for listening. I also forgot to mention that this has taken a huge tole on my relationship with both my parents and family. . . the depression i get is unbarable, and its hard to even talk to everyday people anymore because of the amount of anxiety I get. I just want to return to my normal self again and ill do absolutly anything to become the old person i used to be and to restore any kind of damage ive done to my family and self. Any kind of help i could get would be appreciated. . . thank you all
