Are Protein and Creatine Supplements bad for a 16 year old?

I am 16 years relatively short 5 feet 4 inches, I was training with weights for a while now and I’m good enough for my size, I leave most kids my age that are larger me, but I want to improve my muscles and I know that other protein and creatine can help it, but I’ve been told it can be bad for a 16 year old is that true?
